Senior Google Cloud Platform Architect (.NET & Python) – Aviation Technology

We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Platform Architect with expertise in .NET and Python to lead the cloud architecture design for a mission-critical flight data digitalization project. This initiative is part of a long-term (5-10 years) aviation technology transformation aimed at optimizing data-driven operations within the industry.

You will be part of a specialized Platform Team (SREs, DevOps, Security & Solution Engineers, FinOps), designing scalable and secure cloud solutions for processing and analyzing large-scale flight operations data. The role requires deep architectural expertise in GCP, strong experience in data processing, and the ability to shape next-generation cloud solutions for aviation.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect and design enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for aviation data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SRE, DevOps, Security, Solution Engineers, FinOps) to implement cloud best practices, security policies, and cost-optimization strategies.
• Design and develop cloud-native applications using .NET and Python to support real-time flight data analysis, automation, and digital transformation.
• Implement highly scalable, resilient cloud architectures with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Ensure compliance with aviation data security standards and optimize cloud governance frameworks.
• Drive automation, CI/CD, and DevOps adoption in cloud environments.
• Research and implement emerging GCP technologies to enhance data efficiency, security, and scalability.

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect, with proven expertise in designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of .NET and Python for cloud-based application development.
• Deep experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Proficiency in GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, IAM, etc.).
• Strong background in cloud security best practices, compliance, and access management.
• Experience in container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE, Docker).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Experience in the aviation, transportation, or logistics industry (preferred).
• Knowledge of big data analytics or machine learning in a cloud environment.
• German language skills (a plus but not required).
