Data Ops Engineer – AI & Automation

We’re now looking for a skilled and motivated AI Automation Engineer to help us reshape the future of data research and market forecasting through AI and automation.

Your Role

• Develop AI-powered tools and services based on foundation models to enhance the efficiency of Statista’s research and data teams.
• Design and build autonomous AI agent networks for complex market forecasting (both qualitative and quantitative).
• Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure to host AI agents, APIs, and research tools.
• Identify and automate manual processes within data and content teams to improve workflows and productivity.
• Stay on top of cutting-edge AI & Automation developments and ensure continuous improvement of our services and tools.

Your Profile

• Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Streamlit, Gradio, LangChain, G-Eval, Sentence Transformers.
• Solid understanding of AI fundamentals (RAG-context, prompt engineering, evaluation of foundation model outputs).
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration, containerization, and version control tools (Apache Airflow, Docker, Git).
• Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS: ECS, EC2, EKS); Infrastructure-as-Code experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
