Tasks
We are seeking a Lead Engineer (all genders) to lead one of our platform teams responsible for managing our internal identity access management and mailing products. As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in guiding this team, closely collaborating with other product teams, driving product implementation, and supporting the growth and development of engineers within your team.
It’s equivalent to our Engineering Manager position and reports to the Head of Architecture. As a Lead Engineer joining our team, you will initially focus on hands-on technical tasks like an individual contributor allowing you to gain a deep understanding of our infrastructure and system so that you know the code inside and out. Later on your will also take over managerial tasks and acting as the people manager for the team.

- You have found your passion in software development – but you enjoy building the right team, removing roadblocks, helping others, creating transparency and alignment even more than being an individual contributor
- You are responsible for advancing your team members’ skills and careers and inspiring them through purpose
- You are not afraid to get your hands dirty by actively contributing to development efforts with a focus on using backend technologies such as Golang and PHP (among others)
- You make sure we are continuously raising the engineering bar, with experience and passion for software excellence
- You are responsible for the delivery of the IAM and Mailing product while balancing time, budget, and quality
- You develop, monitor and own the relevant KPIs for your teams (cost, SLAs, SLIs, etc.)
- You contribute to our guidelines, policies and standards to improve how we work
Your profile – this is what we expect from you
- You have a background in a product team, focusing on the right technical solutions and don’t shy away from owning your products end-to-end
- You have several years of hands-on engineering experience in Go and knowledge of PHP
- You have experience with utilizing cloud and infrastructure resources and are familiar with tools like Kubernetes
- Your communication and interpersonal skills stand out, enabling you to collaborate effectively with product teams
- Your approach is results-oriented, with a dedicated focus on delivering top-notch solutions
- Your problem-solving skills are robust, complemented by a proactive attitude
